The iPhone Duo return deadline for launch-day buyers in the US is Friday, November 6: if your Duo arrived on October 23, today is the last day to return it to Apple for a refund under its 14-day return window. What is the iPhone Duo return deadline? How many days you have

Apple's US Returns and Refunds page puts it plainly: "You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it." The clock starts when the phone reaches you, not when you ordered it. Pre-orders opened October 16, but that date does not count.

For a phone received on Friday, October 23, 14 calendar days lands on Friday, November 6, 2026. Apple's US page also says only items bought directly from Apple, online or at an Apple Store, can be returned to Apple.

MacRumors reports that the UK send-back extension applies to online orders, including ones collected at an Apple Store; if you bought the phone directly at a physical Apple Store, you generally need to return it within the initial 14 days. How to return your iPhone Duo

  1. Back up the phone, so nothing you need is lost when it leaves your hands (AndroidPure).
  2. Turn off Find My on the iPhone Duo before returning it (MacRumors, AndroidPure).
  3. Repack everything. Apple's US page asks that the item be repackaged with all the cords, adapters and documentation that came with it.
  4. Start the return. Use Apple's Order Status page and the Start a Return link, or take the phone to any US Apple Store, where Apple says an Apple Specialist will help with the return.
  5. Call your carrier. Apple warns that returning an iPhone may not automatically cancel or reset your wireless account, and that you are responsible for that agreement and any fees.

What if I bought it from a carrier?

Then Apple's window does not apply. Apple's US policy says products bought from other retailers must be returned under that seller's return policy, so check with your carrier or store. And because returning the phone may not cancel your wireless agreement, call the carrier either way.

When do I get my refund?

For card payments, Apple says refunds go to the card-issuing bank within five business days of Apple receiving the returned item. Purchases made with an Apple Gift Card are refunded as an Apple Gift Card by email.

Why some owners are on the fence

MacRumors reports that the iPhone Duo has no Display Zoom option in Settings after setup: you pick Default, Medium or Large during setup, and MacRumors confirmed the option is missing on iOS 27.2.
